Wikipedia Race Drinking Version, Drinking Game Rules

Race across Wikipedia using only the links inside articles.

Setup: Everyone needs a phone or laptop open to Wikipedia. Agree on a start article and a target article (e.g. start: "Potato", target: "Beyoncé"). Rules of the road: you may only click links inside the article text, no search bar, no browser back button, no find-in-page. Every click counts.

How to play:

1. Everyone loads the start article. On "go," race to reach the target by clicking through linked articles.
2. First to land on the target shouts it out and shows their screen; everyone else stops and reports their click count, the winner announces theirs.
3. Drinking: everyone drinks 1 sip for each click they took beyond the winner's total. Anyone who gave up or got hopelessly lost finishes their drink.

The winner picks the next start/target pair.

Wikipedia Race Drinking Version, Variations

• Hub ban: Forbid obvious shortcut pages (“United States,” “World War II”), routes get creative fast.
• Golf scoring: Play 5 rounds, total clicks like strokes; the highest total finishes their drink.
• Speedrun mode: Time limit instead of click count, anyone not at the target in 3 minutes drinks per remaining player.
