Thumb Master, Drinking Game Rules

Category: Party & Verbal Games · Players: 3+ · You’ll need: Drinks only; a table

A stealth game running underneath whatever else you're doing.

Setup: Pick a Thumb Master (or award the title through another game, like the 7 card in some King's Cup variants). Everyone must be around the same table.

How to play:

1. At any moment, ideally mid-conversation, when nobody's watching, the Thumb Master quietly places their thumb on the table edge.
2. As players notice, they silently place their own thumbs on the table too.
3. The last person to notice and place their thumb drinks, and (house choice) becomes the new Thumb Master.

Best deployed twenty minutes after everyone's forgotten the game is running.

Thumb Master, Variations

• Nose Master: Same game, finger on nose, easier to disguise, harder to spot.
• Chain of command: Run Thumb Master and Nose Master simultaneously with different masters.
• Freeze master: The master freezes mid-motion instead, last to freeze drinks. Chaos in a kitchen.
