Sociables, Drinking Game Rules

Category: Card Games · Players: 3+ · You’ll need: Drinks only (no cards required)

"Sociables" is best known as the Canadian name for King's Cup, if you want the card version, use those rules. It's also played as a simple no-equipment "drink if" game, described here.

Setup: Everyone sits in a circle with a drink. No cards needed.

How to play:

  1. On your turn, say a statement that could apply to people in the group: "Drink if you're wearing black," "Drink if you've been to a concert this year," "Drink if you hit snooze this morning."
  2. Everyone the statement applies to takes a sip.
  3. The turn passes to the next player, who makes a new statement.

There's no winner, play until you're bored. Saying "Cheers, sociable!" at any point means everyone clinks and drinks together.
