Rule Master, Drinking Game Rules

Category: Party & Verbal Games · Players: 3+ · You’ll need: Drinks only

One player gets to legislate; everyone else gets to suffer.

Setup: Pick a first Rule Master, win any quick game (coin flip, high card) for the title.

How to play:

1. The Rule Master announces a rule that binds everyone: "no pointing," "you must call me Your Honor," "left hand only for phones," "end every sentence with 'obviously.'"
2. Breaking a rule costs a sip, called out by anyone who notices.
3. Every 15 minutes (or on some trigger you choose), the title passes left and the new master adds a rule on top of the old ones.

Rules stack until basic conversation is a minefield. (This is the Jack card from King's Cup, promoted to a full game.)

Rule Master, Variations

• Inheritance: New masters may repeal exactly one old rule when adding theirs.
• Coup: If the entire table breaks a rule simultaneously (it happens), the Rule Master drinks and the title passes.
• Secret rule: One rule per master may be secret, announced only when first broken.
