Category: Pong & Cup Games · Players: 4+ · You’ll need: Lots of cups; 2 ping pong balls; beer
A frantic, no-turns bouncing game where slow shooters get punished with the center cup.
Setup: Fill 20–30 cups a quarter with beer and cluster them tightly in the middle of the table. Fill one center cup (the rage cup) all the way and put it in the middle of the cluster. Everyone stands around the table. You need 2 ping pong balls and 2 empty cups to start.
How to play:
Give an empty cup and a ball to two players standing opposite each other. On "go," both try to bounce their ball into their own empty cup.
Make it on the first try: you may pass the cup+ball to anyone (usually the person right next to the other shooter, to trap them).
Make it after the first try: pass it to the player on your left.
Getting caught: if the other cup catches up to you, the player beside you makes their shot while you're still shooting, they stack their cup inside yours. You must grab a beer cup from the cluster, chug it, and then start shooting with the (now stacked) cup. Balls keep moving the whole time.
When someone gets caught while the cluster is empty, they drink the center rage cup and the game ends.
Rage Cage / Stack Cup, Variations
Two rage cups: Bury a second full cup mid-cluster, whoever draws it mid-game chugs it and play continues.
Growing stack: The stacked tower travels with the cup, by endgame someone is shooting into a wobbling column of 15 cups.
Anywhere pass: Every make (not just first-try) passes to any player, pure targeting, maximum grudges.
