Category: Party & Verbal Games · Players: 3+ · You’ll need: Drinks only
Chain celebrity names, first letter to last name, at speed.
Setup: Circle, drinks. Only famous people (real or fictional, agree first).
How to play:
The starter names anyone famous: "Taylor Swift."
The next player must name someone whose first name starts with the first letter of the previous person's last name, Swift ends the chain on S, so: "Samuel L. Jackson." Then J: "Jim Carrey." And so on.
Alliterative names (same initials, like "Marilyn Monroe") reverse the direction of play.
One-name celebrities ("Rihanna") use that single name's first letter.
Drink if you: stall too long, repeat a name already used, or break the letter chain. Then you restart with any name.
Name Game, Variations
Category swap: Play with movie titles, bands, or brands, chain by first letter of the last word.
Beat the clock: A 5-second shot clock, counted aloud by the table.
Fictional only: Characters only, arguments about whether someone is “famous enough” are part of the game.
