A one-roll showdown, lowest roll at the table drinks.

Setup: 2 dice. Everyone rolls once per round.

Reading your roll: Put the higher die first to make a two-digit number, a 6 and a 2 is 62.

Ranking, from best to worst:

1. 21 ("Mexico"), a 2 and a 1, beats everything.
2. Doubles, ranked 66 down to 11, beat all normal numbers.
3. Normal numbers, 65 down to 31.

Drinking: After everyone rolls, the lowest roll drinks 2 sips, doubled to 4 if someone rolled Mexico that round. Ties re-roll against each other.

Mexicali / Mexico, Variations

• Mia / Meyer (bluffing version): Roll hidden under a cup and announce your score, truthfully or not. The next player either beats your claim or calls your bluff; the loser of a call drinks double. This is the version played across much of Europe.
• Lives: Everyone starts with 3 lives; lowest roll each round loses one, and the last player alive hands out 5.
• 31 curse: Rolling exactly 31 (the worst number) means you drink immediately, even if someone else is lower.
