Compliment or Roast, Drinking Game Rules

On demand, deliver either sweetness or savagery, the target picks which.

Setup: Circle, drinks, and a group that can take a joke. Agree on off-limits topics first.

How to play:

1. On your turn, point at any player. They immediately declare: "compliment" or "roast."
2. You have 10 seconds to deliver a genuine compliment or a solid roast, as requested.
3. Freeze, stall, or deliver a dud (table's judgment): you drink 2.
4. Land it clean: the target drinks 1, whether flattered or destroyed.
5. The target goes next.

Compliment or Roast, Variations

• Roast battle: Bracket-style 1v1, alternating roasts until the table declares a winner; the loser drinks 3.
• Compliment sandwich: Hard mode, deliver roast-compliment-roast in one breath.
• Mystery mode: The target is drawn from names in a hat after you commit to compliment or roast.
