Coin Hockey / Beer Hockey, Drinking Game Rules

A table game where everyone's bottle is a goal, defend yours, snipe theirs.

Setup: Everyone sits around a table with their bottle or can directly in front of them. One quarter. (Rules vary by region, this is a clean standard version; agree on tweaks first.)

How to play:

1. The active player spins the quarter in the middle of the table and calls a player's name.
2. That player must flick or shoot the spinning coin at someone's bottle before the spin dies, one flick, no grabbing and aiming.
3. Hit a bottle: goal! Its owner drinks 2 sips, and the shooter spins next.
4. Miss, or the coin stops spinning first: the shooter drinks 1 and the spin passes left.

Knocking a bottle completely over doubles the penalty, owner chugs while the table counts to three.

Coin Hockey / Beer Hockey, Variations

• Finger goal: The defender makes a goal with thumb and finger against the table edge; shooters aim for the gap instead of the bottle.
• Shot clock: Three seconds to shoot once named, or you drink.
• Powerplay: Knocking the coin off the table puts you a man down, the next round, two players may shoot at your bottle.
