Categories, Drinking Game Rules

Category: Party & Verbal Games · Players: 3+ · You’ll need: Drinks only

Name things in a category until someone's brain stalls.

Setup: Circle, drinks.

How to play:

1. The starting player names a category, "pizza toppings," "countries in Africa," "one-hit wonders."
2. Starting with them and going left, each player names one item in the category. No repeats.
3. Freeze for more than ~5 seconds, repeat an answer, or name something wrong, you drink and the round ends.
4. Whoever drank picks the next category.

Categories, Variations

• Rhythm rule: Answers must land on a group clap-clap beat, miss the beat, drink.
• Last letter chain: Each answer must start with the last letter of the previous answer (within the category), brutal with country names.
• Double or nothing: After surviving a full lap, the category holder may end it (safe) or run a second lap at double sips.
