Beer Die / Snappa, Drinking Game Rules

Category: Skill & Coordination Games · Players: 4 (2 v 2) · You’ll need: 1 die; table; 4 cups; beer

A 2-on-2 table game: lob a die at the other team's end and make them fumble the catch.

Setup: Two teams of two sit at opposite ends of a rectangular table (a folding banquet table is perfect). Each player puts a cup of beer near their corner, about a hand's width from the edges. You need 1 die. Play to 7 or 11 points, agree first.

How to play:

  1. Teams alternate throws. Toss the die underhand, higher than head height, aiming to land it on the far half of the table.
  2. The defending team tries to catch the die one-handed after it bounces off the table (no trapping it against your body).
  3. Scoring: Your throw scores 1 point if it hits the table and then lands on the floor uncaught. A throw that misses the table entirely, or is caught, scores nothing. A too-low throw is void.
  4. Plunk! If the die lands in an opponent's cup, that player must fish it out and chug the whole cup. Some tables also count it as a point.

Drinking: Defenders each take a sip whenever a point is scored on them. Losing team finishes their cups at game point.
